The core product of the Åkers Group
More than 4,500 Hot strip mill work rolls come off our production lines each year. These are made at our factories in Sedan, France, Åkers Styckebruk, Sweden and at our two plants in the United States, Avonmore and Hyde Park. In all, our total output capacity amounts to 50,000 metric tons of finished rolls making Åkers the world’s largest roll manufacturer of HSM work rolls.

All our HSM rolls are made using the vertical centrifugal casting method ensuring high in service integrity and premium performance results.

HSM rolls account for a substantial part of our global output and mean that we can provide quality products when and where they are required anywhere in the world.

An extensive range of roll dimensions and materials
Our plants can manufacture almost any size or grade of HSM work rolls for all applications ranging from roughing mill work rolls including vertical edgers to finishing stand work rolls. Our products are used in conventional Hot strip mills, Thin slab compact strip mills or Steckel mills.
