Jonas Lagergren is trainer for Åkers' section mill rolls
Jonas Lagergren, Applications Manager at Åkers AB, gave a lecture on November 7 this year in connection with training on rolling long products. The course was arranged by Swerea MEFOS in Luleå and attended by engineers and operators from the Swedish casting, bar and section mills.
During his talk Jonas explained about Åkers' many years of experience in dealing with demands from rolling mills for section mill rolls and how our products meet these stringent demands. Jonas also presented Åkers' range of cast and forged section mill rolls, and provided the audience with an introduction to choosing the right rolls for a mill's roll pairs.
September 2011 - Successful customer seminar in Mumbai, India
Photo: COLORAMA, IndiaA majority of Åkers’ most important hot and cold mill customers from all over India participated in the very first technical seminar organised by Åkers and Arcum Engineering in Bombay. The event took place on 6-8 September with scope for Åkers’ technical presentations; the seminar was, on the whole, very informative for the more than 70 participants.
